Renzo Gracie’s legacy on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts cannot be understated.
Renzo was one of the original legends in MMA, and his lineage and teaching skills are reflected in the latest generation of top BJJ and MMA competitors.
Coach Dayron started training in martial arts at a very young age in his home country of Cuba. He has been training BJJ since 2010 and is currently a black belt under Renzo Gracie. Coach Dayron started in MMA in 2013 and was ranked in the top 5 as an amateur in the Midwest. " I want to bring out the best version of each student by teaching them respect, discipline, and accountability"
My martial arts journey began in 2014 when I started training in Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It was Jiu-Jitsu that truly captured my heart, leading me to train under several skilled black belts who inspired my growth. After years of dedication, I earned my black belt, which opened the door to teaching.
Teaching has become a fulfilling part of my life, and I currently instruct at three locations each week. Sharing knowledge and helping others discover their love for Jiu-Jitsu fuels my passion. Committed to lifelong learning, I continually seek opportunities to improve my skills and enhance my teaching. Reflecting on my past decade, I am grateful for the experiences and relationships that have shaped me, and I look forward to continuing this journey, one roll at a time.
I've had the privilege and honor to have continued my journey here at Renzo Gracie Cypress. I started my boxing career when I was 14 and now I've had the honor of coaching this great group of young fighters for the past several years. With this platform I hope to build courage and confidence in the next generation of fighters, but most importantly of young people. "You don't lose if you get knocked down, you lose if you don't get back up"
I am very excited and privileged to be a part of Renzo Gracie Cypress as one of the boxing coaches. I was 11 years old when i first stepped into a boxing gym. I started at George Foreman youth center. My goal here to is to mentor the younger generation, not just about boxing, but life as well. Fundamentals are key! If you take care of the little things then they will add up to big things. Lets get to work!
